Duane planted the last of the soybeans last evening. So far the corn popped out of the ground just following two nights of hard frost. I don't see that the neighbors corn was damaged much by the frost. My father-in-law just calles it good John Deere corn, because it is green and yellow now. Old farmer humor I guess.
Tomorrow starts the panic of fixing the haybine. Duane tells me this morning that he needs parts for the mower before we can get any haying done. Bummer, I fed too many horses last winter, so we really need hay for the cows now.
